Akasa Air Launches Akasa Elevate, Its New Loyalty Programme
Akasa Air has launched Akasa Elevate, its new loyalty programme that lets passengers earn Elevate Points on eligible flights and add-ons such as meals, baggage and seat selection.

Launched on 7 August 2026, the programme has four membership tiers, with higher tiers offering additional travel benefits. Akasa has not yet disclosed the redemption value of Elevate Points, so the actual value of the points cannot be assessed yet.
How Does Akasa Elevate Work?
Akasa Elevate is not just about the money you spend on your flight. Members can earn Elevate Points on eligible flight bookings as well as spends on things like meals, baggage and seat selection.
So, your Akasa spending can earn rewards in three ways:
Flights: Earn Elevate Points on eligible flight bookings.
Extras: Earn points on eligible spends such as meals, baggage and seat selection.
Direct bookings: Get an additional 4 Elevate Points per ₹100 on eligible bookings through AkasaAir.com or the app.
Important: If you travelled with Akasa from 1 April 2026 onwards, you can enrol in Elevate and claim points for eligible past travel completed before the programme launched.
Akasa Elevate Membership Tiers
Akasa Elevate has four membership tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Bronze is the entry tier, while Silver, Gold and Platinum can be unlocked based on eligible spending or the number of flights taken.
Tier | Qualification | Validity | Elevate Points |
Bronze | Welcome tier | Lifetime | 8 points/₹100 |
Silver | ₹75,000 spend or 6 flights | 365 days | 10 points/₹100 |
Gold | ₹1.25 lakh spend or 15 flights | 365 days | 12 points/₹100 |
Platinum | ₹2.5 lakh spend or 30 flights | 365 days | 14 points/₹100 |
Bronze is the entry tier and remains valid for life, while Silver, Gold and Platinum are valid for 365 days. At the end of the validity period, your tier is reviewed based on qualifying spends or flights from the preceding 365 days.
If you don't meet the criteria to retain your tier, Akasa says you will be downgraded to the applicable lower tier. However, Akasa has not specified the exact downgrade criteria or which tier a member moves to.
The direct booking bonus is separate from the tier-based earning rate. A Platinum member can therefore earn up to 18 Elevate Points per ₹100 on eligible direct bookings, including the 4-point bonus.
What Is the Value of Elevate Points?
The redemption value of Elevate Points is not currently available, so it is too early to put a rupee value on the points or calculate the actual return you can get from them. In other words, earning 18 points per ₹100 does not mean an 18% return. The actual value depends on what those points are worth when redeemed.
For now, the programme's earning rates and tier benefits are clearer than its redemption side. Akasa has also indicated that Elevate will evolve with additional capabilities and partnerships, this is one area to keep an eye on as the programme develops.
What Benefits Do You Get?
Benefits start from Silver and get better as you move up the tiers.
Benefit | Silver | Gold | Platinum |
Café Akasa | 15% off | 15% off | 15% off |
Pre-booked excess baggage | 15% off | 15% off | 15% off |
A+ long-legroom seats | 15% off | 15% off | 50% off |
Select Your Seat | 15% off | 50% off | Complimentary |
Akasa Priority | 15% off | 50% off | Complimentary |
Additional free baggage | — | +5 kg | +5 kg |
Booking cancellation fee | — | 50% off | Waived |

Priority customer care | — | 24x7 | 24x7 |
Elevate Points | 10 per ₹100 spends | 12 per ₹100 spends | 14 per ₹100 spends |
The higher tiers are where the programme starts offering more practical value. If you regularly pay for seats, baggage or priority services, these benefits can help reduce your costs when flying Akasa.
Is Akasa Elevate Worth It?
If you fly Akasa regularly, Elevate is a useful addition. The programme gives you a clear path to higher status through either spending or flying, while Silver, Gold and Platinum offer benefits that can save money on common flight extras.
The main question is still the value of Elevate Points. Since Akasa has not currently disclosed the redemption value, the programme looks promising based on its tier benefits but it is too early to judge how rewarding the points themselves will be.
And if you're already managing multiple credit cards and loyalty programmes, it's worth looking at the combined value you're getting from your cards and airline memberships, rather than evaluating each programme separately.
With SaveSage, you can keep track of your cards, rewards and loyalty programmes in one place and see where you're actually getting value from your spending.
