Axis Bank Transfer Partners: A Beginner's Guide

Axis Bank Hotel and Airlines Transfer Partner: A Detailed Guide

Introduction

Axis Bank provides its cardholders with several transfer partners, allowing for rewards to be redeemed across a variety of airline and hotel loyalty programs. However, it's important to be aware of certain details and limitations when transferring your EDGE REWARD Points or EDGE MILES.

Axis Bank Transfer Partners Grouping

Axis Bank's transfer partners are categorized into two groups: Group A and Group B. While most international partners fall under Group A, some are categorized under Group B, which also includes several domestic partners.

Group A Group B
Accor Hotels (Accor Live Limitless) Air France-KLM (Flying Blue)
Air Canada (Aeroplan) Air India (Flying Returns)
Ethiopian Airlines Air Asia
Etihad (Etihad Guest) ITC
Japan Airlines (JAL Mileage Bank) IHG® Hotels & Resorts (IHG One Rewards)
Marriott International (Marriott Bonvoy) Qantas Airways (Qantas Frequent Flyer)
Qatar Airways SpiceJet
Singapore Airlines (Krisflyer)
Turkish Airlines
Thai Airways (Royal Orchid Plus)
United Airlines (MileagePlus)
Wyndham Hotels (Wyndham Rewards)

Axis Bank Transfer Partners Capping

Each Axis Bank card has a capping on the points transfer. If you hold multiple cards, the capping will be applied at the Customer ID level. However, the Axis Atlas card is excluded from this as it earns Edge Miles instead of regular points.

Card Type Capping in Group A Capping in Group B Overall Capping
Burgundy Private 3 Lakhs 12 Lakhs 15 Lakhs
Magnus Burgundy 2 Lakhs 8 Lakhs 10 Lakhs
Olympus 1.5 Lakhs 6 Lakhs 7.5 Lakhs
Magnus 1 Lakh 4 Lakhs 5 Lakhs
Reserve 1 Lakh 4 Lakhs 5 Lakhs
Atlas 30,000 1.2 Lakhs 1.5 Lakhs
Select 1 Lakh 4 Lakhs 5 Lakhs
Privilege 1 Lakh 4 Lakhs 5 Lakhs
Rewards 1 Lakh 4 Lakhs 5 Lakhs
Horizon 1 Lakh 4 Lakhs 5 Lakhs
IOCL Premium 1 Lakh 4 Lakhs 5 Lakhs
Other cards 1 Lakh 4 Lakhs 5 Lakhs

Let’s understand this with an example. Suppose you’re holding a Magnus Credit Card wherein you can transfer up to 5 lakh EDGE REWARD Points in a year. Out of these, 1 lakh points can be transferred to partners in Group A (international partners), and the remaining 4 lakh points can be transferred to Group B (other partners) in the same year. This system divides your total transfer allowance into two groups based on the partner category.

Important Note: The minimum transfer for EDGE REWARD Points is 300 points and for EDGE Miles, it's 500 miles, while the maximum transfer is limited to the total available points or miles in the cardholder's account.

How to Convert Your EDGE REWARDS Points/EDGE MILES

Converting your EDGE REWARDS points or EDGE MILES into airline miles or hotel loyalty points can be an excellent way to maximize your benefits and enjoy a range of travel-related perks. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you seamlessly transfer your points or miles to your preferred partner:

  1. Log in to Travel Edge: Start by logging into your Travel Edge account. Once logged in, navigate to the 'Points/Miles Transfer' section to begin the transfer process.
  2. Select Your Preferred Partner: Choose the airline or hotel partner to which you want to transfer your points or miles. The platform offers a variety of partner options to suit your travel needs.
  3. Link Your Membership ID (First-time Users): If this is your first time transferring points or miles, select the 'Link Member' option. You will need to enter your membership ID for the selected airline or hotel loyalty program. For repeat transfers, you can skip this step and go directly to the 'Points/Miles Transfer' option.
  4. OTP Verification: To ensure the security of your transfer, you will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) on your registered mobile number. Enter this OTP to initiate the transfer process securely.

Once verified, your EDGE REWARDS points or EDGE MILES will be transferred to the chosen partner, where you can then redeem them for flights, hotel stays, or other rewards as per the partner’s policies.
