Axis Bank Transfer Partners: A Beginner's Guide (Updated 2026)

Axis Bank credit cards are among the most rewarding options for frequent travellers in India, thanks to their extensive list of airline and hotel transfer partners. But Axis has recently updated its partner list and transfer ratios - and if you haven't checked the latest changes, you may be leaving significant value on the table.

Axis Bank Credit Card designed for frequent travellers and reward optimisation

If you’re using EDGE Rewards or EDGE Miles for the first time, it’s important to understand how point transfers work and what limits apply when moving your points.

What Are Axis Bank Transfer Partners?

When you spend on an eligible Axis Bank credit card, you earn either EDGE Reward Points or EDGE Miles depending on your card type.  Axis Bank allows you to convert your credit card reward points into airline miles or hotel loyalty points through its Travel EDGE platform.

Instead of redeeming points at a fixed value, you can transfer them to loyalty programs and potentially get much higher value per point - especially for flights and premium stays.

But that value depends on three things:

  • The partner you choose

  • Your credit card type

  • The transfer ratio applied

Axis Bank currently supports 22 transfer partners across airlines and hotels, divided into two groups: Group A and Group B.

Updated Axis Bank Transfer Partners (2026)

Following recent changes to the program, Axis Bank removed Accor Live Limitless, Marriott Bonvoy, and Qatar Privilege Club from its partner list. Three new airline partners were added to Group A — Finnair Plus, The British Airways Club, and Lotusmiles (Vietnam Airlines) and two hotel programs were added to Group B: Radisson Rewards and Orchid Rewards.

Turkish Airlines (Miles&Smiles)

United Airlines (MileagePlus)

SpiceJet (SpiceClub)

Vietnam Airlines (Lotusmiles)

Wyndham Hotels (Wyndham Rewards)

Group A consists primarily of international airline and hotel programs. Group B is a mix of international and domestic partners, including Indian carriers and hotel chains. This distinction matters because your annual transfer limits are split between the two groups.

Axis Bank Transfer Partner Capping

Axis Bank applies an annual cap on how many points you can transfer in a calendar year (1 January to 31 December). This capping is applied at a Customer ID level, so if you hold more than one Axis Bank card, the limits are combined. Cards that earn EDGE Rewards are subject to a combined annual transfer cap, with the limit of the highest-capped card being applicable. In the same way, all cards that earn EDGE Miles are also grouped together and capped under a single combined limit.

Note: The minimum transfer is 300 EDGE Reward Points or 500 EDGE Miles. The maximum you can transfer in a single transaction is either the points available in your account or your annual cap, whichever is lower.

How Does The Capping Work?

Let’s say a person holds three Axis credit cards: Magnus Burgundy, Reserve, and Rewards. Each card has its own annual EDGE Reward transfer limits.

  • Magnus Burgundy: 10 lakh points (2 lakh Group A + 8 lakh Group B)

  • Reserve: 5 lakh points (1 lakh Group A + 4 lakh Group B)

  • Rewards: 5 lakh points (1 lakh Group A + 4 lakh Group B)

Even though each card has separate limits, Axis applies the transfer cap based on the highest eligible limit across all cards. So in this case, the overall annual transfer limit will be 10 lakh EDGE Reward Points, as per the Magnus Burgundy card.

Important: The minimum transfer is 300 EDGE Reward Points or 500 EDGE Miles. The maximum transfer is limited to the points available in your account or your annual capping(whichever is lower).

Important: The three newly added Group A partners - The British Airways Club, Finnair Plus, and Lotusmiles (Vietnam Airlines) - have noticeably worse ratios on mid-tier and entry-level cards compared to most other partners.

On Reserve and Magnus cards, the ratio is 5:1 instead of the usual 5:2. On Atlas cards, these partners give 2:1 instead of 1:2, meaning you need four times the points to earn the same miles. Plan accordingly.

How to Transfer Your EDGE Points or EDGE Miles

All transfers are processed through Axis Bank's Travel EDGE platform at traveledge.axis.bank.in.

Here is how it works:

Step 1: Log in to Travel EDGE: Sign in with your Axis Bank credentials and go to the "Points or Miles Transfer" section.

Step 2: Select Your Preferred Partner: Choose the airline or hotel partner you want to transfer your points or miles to.

Step 3: Link Your Membership ID (first time only): Enter your loyalty program membership number the first time you transfer to any given partner. This links your two accounts. For all future transfers to the same partner, you can skip this step.

Step 4: Enter the Amount and Confirm via OTP: Enter the number of points you want to transfer and confirm with the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

Once confirmed, points are typically credited to your loyalty account within a few business days. Transfers are permanent and cannot be reversed, so always verify availability in your target loyalty program before initiating a large transfer.

Best Partners to Use Right Now

Not all partners deliver equal value. Based on the current transfer ratios and redemption options available, these programs continue to offer strong returns:
For international flights → Singapore Airlines (KrisFlyer), Aeroplan (Air Canada), and JAL Mileage Bank are consistently strong choices. They offer efficient redemption for business and premium economy travel on partner airlines, and their ratios remain favourable across most Axis card tiers.
For domestic travel →  Air India (Maharaja Club) is the most versatile option for routes within India. SpiceJet and Air Asia offer budget-friendly alternatives, though the lower transfer ratios on entry-level cards reduce their effective value.

For hotel stays →  IHG One Rewards and ITC Hotels are now the strongest options following the remo

If you hold an Atlas, Horizon, or Select/Privilege/Rewards card, avoid the newly added partners — British Airways Club, Finnair Plus, and Lotusmiles for now. The ratios on these card tiers make the transfers inefficient compared to established programs like Singapore Airlines, Aeroplan, or Air India.

Making the Most of Axis Bank Transfer Partners

Axis Bank's transfer partner program remains one of the more flexible options for travel rewards in India, even after the recent changes. The removal of Accor and Marriott has weakened the hotel side, but the airline lineup, particularly Singapore Airlines, Aeroplan and JAL  continues to deliver meaningful value for cardholders who plan their transfers thoughtfully.
