The Amex to Hilton Honors transfer ratio has moved from 10:9 to 10:15.

Should You Transfer Amex Points to Hilton or Virgin Atlantic?

The improved ratios make both programmes more attractive, but the best transfer still depends on how you plan to use the points. Check the points required for your hotel or flight and compare the value against the cash price before transferring.

Also, avoid transferring points just because the ratio has improved. Once transferred, Membership Rewards Points may not be reversible. Before making a transfer, check the latest ratio and applicable terms on the American Express Membership Rewards transfer portal.

This update comes shortly after the Amex Platinum Travel devaluation, which changed its milestone and lounge benefits. While Amex has not called these improved transfer ratios compensation, they give cardholders another way to get more value from their Membership Rewards Points.
