Who Should Consider HSBC Spend Fest?

HSBC Spend Fest 2026 is worth considering if you already have large planned expenses during the offer period such as electronics, furniture, home appliances or travel bookings. Since the rewards are offered in addition to your regular credit card benefits, eligible purchases can help you earn extra value without changing your spending habits.

If you're looking for cards that maximise travel rewards beyond limited-time campaigns, you can also explore our guide to Travel Loyalty Programs Explained: How to Earn Free Flights and Hotel Stays in India (2026).

Before planning large purchases, make sure the merchant category is eligible. Transactions such as fuel, insurance, utility payments and wallet loads do not count towards the spending milestones.

Who Can Participate?

To qualify, you must:

  • Registration is mandatory. You must register on or before 16 August 2026 to participate in the campaign.

  • Pay at least the minimum amount due on your HSBC Credit Card.

  • Keep your HSBC Credit Card account active until reward fulfilment. Closed, cancelled or terminated card accounts between 9 July 2026 and 10 December 2026 will not qualify for the offer.

The offer is available on valid HSBC Credit Cards issued to existing Indian resident customers, except the following cards:

  • HSBC Taj Credit Card

  • HSBC Premier Credit Card

  • HSBC Prive Credit Card

  • HSBC Corporate Credit Cards

Add-on cardholders do not receive separate rewards. However, eligible spends made on an add-on card are added to the primary cardholder's spending.

How to Register

You must register on or before 16 August 2026 using either of the following methods:

  • Option 1: SMS HFEST to 575750 from your registered mobile number.

  • Option 2: Register through HSBC's campaign page.

Registrations submitted after 16 August 2026 will not be accepted.

Transactions That Do Not Count

Not every transaction made on your HSBC Credit Card counts towards the campaign. HSBC calculates rewards using net eligible spends, meaning refunded or reversed transactions are deducted and several merchant categories are excluded altogether.

The following transactions are excluded from eligible spending:

  • Utility payments

  • Fuel purchases

  • Insurance payments

  • Tax payments

  • Jewellery purchases

  • E-wallet loads

  • Money transfers

  • Real estate transactions

  • Financial institution transactions

  • Non-financial institution transactions

  • Balance transfer

  • Cash on EMI

  • Passenger railway transactions

  • Collection agency transactions

  • Gambling transactions

  • Home improvement transactions (MCC 7349)

Important Conditions

Keep these points in mind before participating:

  • Only net eligible spends qualify for rewards.

  • Refunded or reversed transactions reduce your eligible spending.

  • Spending across multiple HSBC Credit Cards cannot be combined.

  • You can qualify for only one reward slab based on your highest eligible spend.

  • HSBC may review card usage during the campaign and disqualify accounts in cases of suspicious transactions, unusual spending patterns or misuse of the offer.

  • Rewards cannot be exchanged for cash, cashback or any alternative reward option after issuance.

  • The HSBC Spend Fest reward is offered in addition to the regular rewards available on your HSBC Credit Card.

  • Any applicable tax liability related to the reward will be borne by the cardholder.

Can You Earn Multiple Rewards?

HSBC awards only one reward based on the highest applicable milestone achieved. If you qualify for multiple milestones, rewards are processed according to the priority order mentioned in the offer terms, starting from the ₹50 lakh milestone.

Here are a few examples of how this plays out. These figures are illustrative, not official HSBC data:

Eligible Spend

Eligible Reward

₹2.7 lakh

₹4,000 Amazon voucher

₹4.3 lakh

₹7,500 Amazon voucher

₹8.2 lakh

₹15,000 MakeMyTrip voucher

₹52 lakh

₹1.5 lakh Croma or Reliance Digital voucher + ₹2.5 lakh MakeMyTrip voucher

Only the highest eligible milestone is rewarded, even if you cross multiple slabs.
